Electrical Fee Schedule
(Effective May 8, 2006)
Residential Work
- New Single Dwelling (includes temporary service) $200.
- Renovations:
- Major: $150.
- Minor: $100.
- Multi-Family Dwelling Each unit: $150.
- Services:
- Up to and including 400 amps: $75.
- Over 400 amps: $200.
- Major Appliance (new or replacement): $50.
- for each of the following appliances: range, built-in oven, counter tops, electric dryers, Water heaters, disposal, dishwasher, oil burner, gas Burner, air conditioner, gas pumps, island light, etc)
- Garages: $75.
- Branch Circuit Extensions, lights, receptacles, or other devices: $50.
- Under no circumstances shall any inspections be less than $50.
Commercial Work (Commercial, industrial, mercantile, and multi-family)
- Based on value of work: $75 for first $1000 value. $5 per thousand thereafter (minimum fee: $150.)
- Signs and Marquees $50.00
- Carnivals, Concessions, Circuses, and Fairs:
- 1-20 activities $200.
- Over 20 activities $400.
Repair and Maintenance
- For Industrial concerns and schools employing a licensed electrician for maintenance work only on their premises, the annual permit fee shall be set between $500 and $700 at the discretion of the Wiring Inspector.
Miscellaneous Work
- Swimming pools:
- Storable pools: $50.
- Permanent pools: $75.
- Smoke/CO Detectors per structure: $50.
- All Fire Alarm Systems & All Security Systems require two inspections (rough & final) @ $40.00 Total: $80.
Fees for Re-inspection
- The fee for re-inspection of defective work, or if the site Is inaccessible for a scheduled inspection shall be $50.
All permit fees are non-refundable.
All applications for permits to do wiring shall be accompanied by a check made payable to the town in which work is being performed.
