Regional Economic Development Efforts
The CEDS Committee and EDD Governing Board meet with Coop Power to discuss the proposed Biodiesel plant in the I-91 Industrial Park.
Project Overview
The FRCOG is actively engaged in economic development initiatives that focus on an area greater than just Franklin County. We recognize that the success of the larger region will positively influence Franklin County's economy. These initiatives support infrastructure improvements, workforce skills enhancement, growth of small business and entrepreneurship, and marketing of the region for commercial and industrial development.
Current Activities

Addressing the same geographic area is the Economic Development Partners and Homefield Advantage Committees, coordinated by the Economic Development Council of Western Massachusetts. The Northern Tier Energy Sector Partnership is focused on enhancing the workforce for the clean energy industry sector northern Worcester County to the Berkshires.
