Program Overview
The Regional Health Agent conducts inspections of restaurants, landfills, school cafeterias, spas, skating rinks, pools, unsafe housing, camps, massage therapists, B&Bs, and tanning & nail salons. The Agent also conducts Title 5 septic plan reviews, percolation tests and inspections of septic system repairs, housing condemnations, regulation writing, filing court actions, and lead paint determinations.
The Regional Health Agent has over 12 years of public health experience and 25 years of regulatory experience. He is a Registered Sanitarian, certified Title 5 System Inspector, certified lead determinator, a certified soil evaluator, a licensed pool operator, ICS/NIMS Certified, a certified food service manager, Certified Public Water Supply Facility Operator, and has a MS in Soil Microbiology.
The Health Agent is available to provide any level of professional assistance to a Board of Health – from a phone consultation to routine inspections, to regular office hours at town hall. Our services include inspections, the writing of reports and orders to correct, court enforcement, and technical support during hearings.
